SQUAMISH SPIT APPRECIATION DAY with NIKKI LAYTON

There is a growing campaign to save the Squamish Spit - there is a plan to remove it or part of it to allow young salmon into shallow waters before maturing and surviving in the deeper waters of Howe Sound. This is having an impact on the wind sports society. Nikki Layton, President of SWS was on the phone to tell us more about Spit Appreciation Day is coming up on August 7th from 11-2 with plenty of activities for the whole family from trainer kites, to SUPs and kayaks - food, too!
