Melissa Deally of Girls Matter

Whistler resident and award winning podcaster, Melissa Deally was here to tell us more about Girls Matter, created to stop teenage marriages, by keeping girls in school in Uganda and Kenya and breaking the poverty cycle, 1 girl, 1 family, 1 village at a time. As educating the girls creates a much better future for them and empowers them to give back to their communities. An educated girl is also more than twice as likely to ensure her own girls are educated, which means our work now has a positive generational ripple effect.
