Janice Carroll was on the show to tell myself and Katie Behun more about open auditions for the BST upcoming production Girl in the Goldfish Bowl at Brennan Park in the Black Tusk room from 6pm on Nov 23rd. - All levels of experience are welcome. Actors must be available for all tech dress and performance dates: April 7th - April 14th as well as one North Shore Theatre Festival performacne May 6th -11th ( exact date of performance TBD) BACKGROUND: Morris Panych’s Girl in the Goldfish Bowl is a quirky, coming-of-age memory play. Iris, on the cusp of turning 11 years old, is trying to deal with the death of her pet goldfish, Amahl, during a turbulent time in history (The Cuban Missile Crisis) and at home (her parent’s failing marriage). Iris can’t help but feel that all these events are somehow related, so when a stranger washes up on the beach, she is convinced he is the reincarnation of Amahl, and is the key to holding “the whole world together”.
