Real-time bus technology will be unveiled on BC Transit buses in Whistler on July 24th.

The new technology (NextRide) will allow riders to use web browsers and smart phones to see the location of their bus along its route and its predicted arrival time at a specific stop.

On board, passengers will now be able to see and hear upcoming stop information as they approach the next stop, and users who are also signed up for push notifications will be kept more up to date with detours and accidents.

The public is invited for a demonstration of the new technology during the unveiling at the Gondola Transit Exchange at 1 pm on July 24th.
