Whistler’s Great Outdoor Festival (GO Fest) has announced this year’s free concert lineup that runs May 18th to 21st.

The all Canadian lineup will kick off with The Philosopher Kings on May 18th. The Juno award winning pop and alternative rock group are best known for their 90’s single “Charms” and reunited last year after an 11-year hiatus.

The weekend will also feature Current Swell, Carmanah, Coco Jafro and The Funk Hunters. Concerts will take place in the Village Square with opening acts (Carmanah on Saturday and Coco Jafro on Sunday) at 3 pm and headliners at 7:30 pm. The Funk Hunters will round out the festival’s musical offering on Sunday night.

Whistler Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden says the lineup is being brought to Whistler thanks to the Province’s Resort Municipality Initiative contributions which invests in programs and projects that support and help grow tourism.

Along with music the festival features arts & culture, sports and clinics including sailing and dog training tips. The festival, now in it’s fifth year is touted as the intersection of winter and summer activities for both visitors and residents to experience the best of all seasons.
