A fire was discovered yesterday at the 67 KM marker in the Elaho Valley. The fire is approximately 15-20 hectares and there are crews on scene working on containment.

The fire is a long way from Squamish and there is no risk to the community. The smoke throughout Squamish is being funnelled down the Elaho and Squamish valleys due to inversion. Periodic increases in smoke should be expected throughout the day.
