Nothing like waking up on a Friday to find out that we’ve been blessed with another music video thanks to Taylor Swift.  ‘Lavender Haze’ is the latest single off the album ‘Midnights,’ and the video captures a more sultry side of Taylor.

The 70s-themed video features Taylor crawling through a maze of lavender and appearing topples in a lavender-coloured pool, all while mouthing the words to the song, which seem to be about her longtime boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.  “When you’re in the lavender haze, you’ll do anything to stay there, even though the world is often quick to weigh in on who a person is in love with,” Taylor previously said about the track.

How did Taylor come up with the concept behind ‘Lavender Haze’? She says, “I happened upon the phrase Lavender Haze when I was watching Mad Men, and I looked it up because I thought it sounded cool, and it turns out that it’s a common phrase used in the ’50s where they would just describe being in love, like, you were in the lavender haze, and that meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was really beautiful.”

‘Lavender Haze’ is the second official single from the album Midnights, but the third to be made into a music video.
