Surprise MOM with breakfast this Mother’s Day!  She’ll love this easy and DELICIOUS French Toast casserole….and you will too!

 

Ingredients
• 5 cups bread (cut into cubes)
• 1 ½ cups milk
• 4 large eggs
• ¼ cup white sugar
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon margarine, softened
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan
3. Line the bottom of the prepared pan with bread cubes.
4. Beat milk, eggs, margarine, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and vanilla together in a large bowl until well combined; pour over bread cubes and stir to coat.
5. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over top of casserole.
6. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden, about 45 to 50 minutes.
7. Top with fresh strawberries, or your favourite fruit! Add the extra’s like whipped cream and or chocolate sauce!
