Due to COVID-19 Canadian’s across the country are being asked to observe Remembrance Day from home this year. Many communities will be live streaming small ceremonies, that would normally see large crowds to remember on November 11th.

Below we’ve compiled a list of local and national live stream ceremonies and how you can view them.

 

Squamish

10:50am – 11:15am

A brief Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at the Downtown Squamish Cenotaph in Stan Clarke Park.

A live stream of the event will be hosted on: squamish.ca.

You are encouraged to Remember in Place and join the Squamish Legion, Canadian Forces members, cadets and dignitaries to honour and Remember in Place those who bravely served.

Whistler

10:50 a.m.

Visit: whistler.ca/RemembranceDay to access the live stream link the morning of the ceremony.

Show your support by placing a poppy in your window at home. Share a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #RememberInPlace.

Vancouver

10:30 a.m.

Victoria Square will be closed to the public, and there will be no parade or screens for viewing the ceremony on site.
