October 21st is election day in Canada. In the riding of West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country voters have from 7 am to 7 pm to cast their vote.

 

Seven candidates are on the local ballot this year:

Gordon Jeffrey – Parti Rhinocéros Party

Gabrielle Loren – Conservative Party of Canada – http://votegabrielleloren.ca/

Patrick Weiler – Liberal Party of Canada – https://patrickweiler.liberal.ca/

Judith Wilson – New Democratic Party – https://www.ndp.ca/

 

There are three ways you can vote:

  • Show one piece of ID e.g. drivers licence, or any other card issued by a Canadian government (federal, provincial/territorial or local) with your photo, name and current address.
  • Show two pieces of ID – both must have your name and at least one must have your current address e.g. voter information card and bank statement, utility bill and student ID card.
  • If you don’t have ID. You can still vote if you declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who knows you and who is assigned to your polling station vouch for you. The voucher must be able to prove their identity and address. A person can vouch for only one person (except in long-term care institutions).
