It has been nearly 5 years since we have seen a full album from Justin Timberlake. Fans were no doubt ecstatic earlier this month when he announced he would be soon releasing a full NEW ALBUM! JT’s latest music endeavor, “Man of the Woods”,  is set to drop on February 2nd.

We were able to have a little taste when JT released his first single “Filthy” a few weeks ago. It was clear from the first single that 2018 is the year of edgy Justin Timberlake.

JT dropped another song off the new album today called “Supplies” which Pharrell helped produce.

JT explained to Beats 1 why it has taken so long for the two to work together.

“I was not able to work with Pharrell out of a … and I’ve got to say this the right way because I don’t want to blame anybody for anything, but it did change the course of things for a minute,” he explained. “Everyone remembers [the recording duo Clipse, feautred on ‘Like I Love You’]. Clipse was signed to Jive Records, which I was signed to. I don’t know what went on with their deal, but I do remember that Pharrell was very adamant about getting them out of the deal. So it became from my understanding, you know, it became challenging for him to work with any Jive artist at that point.”

“If I’m being totally honest about it, I was extremely hurt being caught up in the middle of it,” Timberlake added. “At the same time, I had a sh*tload of money stolen from me by somebody else when I was in the group. I had already gone legal troubles and I kind of felt like, you know what, I’m at this point where I feel like I have so much ahead of me, I don’t want to be in the middle of the record label and somebody that, you know, I consider a friend. So, I feel like I kind of removed myself from the situation.”‘
