Quest University announced their new President on August 25th.

The institution’s Board of Governors has appointed Dr. George Iwama to the role. In a release the university says when searching for their new President they were looking for someone that would champion their mission, vision and values. Continue to strengthen, defend and renew their pedagogical approach. Maintain world-class teachers while ensuring a sustainable business model and serve as a compelling and effective advocate.

Board of Governors Chair, Mary Jo Larson says in the in the release that they are “excited about adding his [Iwama’s] experience and leadership to Quest”. Larson states that he will be a critical part of helping the university tackle the “challenges and seize the opportunities that lie” by continuing to develop and champion the school’s vision.

Iwama was named the university’s third Chancellor on April 24th and was announced as a new member of the Board of Governor’s on July 17th. It was announced on May 8th that Dr. Peter Englert the previous President and Vice Chancellor was “no longer” in the position.

An event will be held in the fall where students, staff and community members will be able to meet the new President.
