Police in Squamish are reporting a significant theft from a home in Lions Bay.

In a release RCMP say that on February 15th, Brenden Eslick and Samantha Pelletier stole over $500,000 worth of money, jewellery, rugs, laptops, passports, and other expensive items from a residence within the community.

Items of importance that were stolen include Pahlavi gold coins, Persian rugs, 24 carat gold old Persian Kingdom earrings, necklace, ring and bracelet set, personal documents, wills, and deeds to the residence.

Corporal Sascha Banks of the Squamish RCMP says “This isn’t just a theft of items, these were family heirlooms and had significant sentimental value. The family is extremely distraught over the loss”.

The pair also stole the homeowners vehicle to transport the items. It’s described as a 2003 Grey Toyota Camry with BC license Plate 602 JEP. Police are asking for the public’s help with locating Eslick and Pelletier as well as the stolen items. They may still be in British Columbia but they also have connections to Alberta. Both are currently wanted on outstanding warrants related to the theft.
