Another rental property is in the works for the Whistler Housing Authority.

In a release the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) have said they are in the process of transferring a third lot of land in the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood, from the Whistler 2020 Development Corporation to develop another rental property through the Whistler Housing Authority.

One rental building is currently under construction on Cloudburst Drive, which is due to be completed by the fall of 2017. Preliminary designs for a second adjacent building, are now currently underway.

The RMOW says the hope is that the projects line up so there is one project completed each year for the next three years, adding approximately 250 new beds to Whistler’s employee housing inventory.
